I was thinking about a simple situation.
Imagine Iโm running a business and I walk into a room with 100 people. I need to prove that Iโm financially qualified to do a particular deal. So I pull out my financial records, but thereโs a problem.
To prove that I have enough money, do I really need to hand all 100 people my entire financial history?
My transactions.
My positions.
My counterparties.
My strategies.
Everything Iโve been doing with my money.
Probably not.
I only need to prove the part that actually matters.
And honestly, this is one of the reasons the intersection between privacy and verification in onchain finance has caught my attention.
Blockchains are incredibly good at making information transparent and verifiable, but institutional finance introduces another requirement:
Some information needs to be trusted without necessarily being exposed.
That changes the infrastructure problem completely.
The goal isn't to create a system where nobody can verify anything.
And it isn't to put every sensitive financial detail on display either.
It's about creating a way to say:
โHere is the information you need to verify, without giving you everything you don't need to see.โ
@primus_labs is building confidentiality and verification infrastructure for institutional onchain finance, with the idea of allowing sensitive financial information to remain protected while relevant claims can still be verified.
The more I think about it, the more this feels like an important piece of the institutional onchain puzzle.
Because maybe the future isn't total transparency. Maybe it's selective transparency backed by verification.
I'm exploring the Primus ecosystem here, you should too:
