Your first 7 days learning digital marketing:
Day 1: Learn the basics
Day 2: Study audiences
Day 3: Practise copywriting
Day 4: Analyse business content
Day 5: Write a sample post
Day 6: Create a graphic
Day 7: Review your work
Start with skills, not income claims.
Before promoting a product, answer 3 questions:
1. Who needs it?
2. What problem does it solve?
3. Why should someone trust the recommendation?
If you can't answer these clearly, posting more links probably won't fix your marketing.
#MarketingTips
Perfectly legal things you can do to get more customers before touching ads:
- ask customers for referrals
- follow up with leads who went cold
- partner with businesses that serve your customers
- call back old customers and pitch them something new
- downsell your leads that couldn’t afford your main offer
You don't need to become an expert before creating your first sample project.
Learning copywriting? Rewrite an advert.
Learning design? Create a sample flyer.
Learning marketing? Analyse a business page.
Practice gives you something concrete to improve.
#DigitalSkills
Only have an Android phone?
Try this beginner digital marketing exercise:
1. Find 3 business pages.
2. Study their posts.
3. Identify their target customers.
4. Rewrite one product description.
5. Create a sample promotional post.
Learning becomes clearer when you practise.
You don't need to learn 10 digital skills this year.
One skill you can demonstrate confidently may be more useful than five skills you barely understand.
Choose one.
Learn the fundamentals.
Create sample work.
Improve through feedback.
#SkillDevelopment
Stop asking, "Which digital skill pays the most?"
Ask:
Which skill interests me?
Can I practise it with my current resources?
Are people willing to pay for the problems it solves?
Can I commit time to learning it?
Choose based on fit, not hype.

A ₦50k course isn't automatically better than a free tutorial.
And a free tutorial isn't automatically enough to master a skill.
What matters is the quality of the information, structure, practice and feedback.
Stop judging education by price alone.
Before buying a ₦20k digital marketing course:
1. Check the curriculum.
2. Verify the instructor's credibility.
3. Look for practical exercises.
4. Explore free beginner resources.
5. Ignore guaranteed-income promises.
A course should teach a skill, not sell you a fantasy.
A ₦50k course isn't automatically better than a free tutorial.
And a free tutorial isn't automatically enough to master a skill.
What matters is the quality of the information, structure, practice and feedback.

This is the first time I’ll talk about VDM publicly and here’s my take on his personality.
While many people kept hating his approach to things I was quietly learning somethings from him and studying him
VDM is very wise and knows how to see opportunities in everything both good and bad
As at today whether you agree or not !!!
He has built one of the biggest personal brands in Nigeria and you can’t deny it unless you just lying to yourself
There’s nothing this dude wants to market today that wouldn’t sell
People would beg him to collect their money from anything he decides to sell today do you know why ?
He built something really strong and his strongest weapon is the fact that he has gained the trust of majority
As a business person you don’t need to always be in a hurry to start selling when you’ve not properly branded enough and built a solid KLT in your niche
If you build yourself enough to make people Know you - Like you and Trust you
Then you own the market already
Keep your hates aside and learn from people like him if you’re into business
Of course there are some things he might do that you won’t agree with but that only means he’s human but then why not focus on the good sides of people majorly

One of the reasons why you should be at the Federal High Court, Abuja, tomorrow for our case against telecommunications companies in Nigeria.
Last night, I bought 20GB of @MTNNG weekly mobile data for N5,000.
I woke up this morning, and it was gone. There were no software or app updates enabled to use mobile data.
I bought another 20GB weekly data plan, and in less than an hour, I was told I had no data left.
Did I upload anything heavy anywhere? Nope. Was I on my phone throughout that one hour? Nope. I was busy preparing for work and driving around Abuja for different meetings.
I decided to buy 3.5GB for one day to see what was happening. In less than 20 minutes, I was told that my data had been exhausted.
I bought another 20GB, and the purchase was confirmed as successful. But when I tried using it, I was told I had no active data subscription. I waited in vain for the data I had already paid for.
I bought another 20GB at exactly 5:36 PM. By 5:44 PM, I was told I had no data left again. Just 8 minutes later! Please look at the screenshot and see for yourself.
Now, I decided to buy a 75GB monthly plan for N18,000. As I’m making this post, I have already been told that I have only 61GB left. That’s about 20 minutes after purchasing the data.
And mind you, I had turned off mobile data for almost all the apps on my phone this morning while trying to figure out what exactly was happening.
This is the kind of experience that makes me believe MTN has been actively defrauding Nigerians.
You are seeing this because I have a large audience. But what about the millions of Nigerians who do not have such an audience? How many people experience this every day without having the means to challenge it?
I will challenge all of this in court, and the case begins tomorrow.
If you are a journalist or media professional, please join us at the Federal High Court, Abuja, tomorrow at 8 AM.
I’m personally tired of the institutional fraud going on in this country.

Posting affiliate links in 20 WhatsApp groups isn't a marketing strategy.
Before sharing a link, ask:
Who needs this product?
What problem does it solve?
Why should anyone trust my recommendation?
Understanding your audience comes before selling.

I find it hilarious when people talk about how much money they’ve made “without spending a dime on ads.”
Especially the way they say that last part. Like those of us paying for ads don’t know what we’re doing 😂
The embarrassing part is... I used to be that guy too.
And I get it. There’s a feeling that comes with making money without having to GIVE somebody money first.
But hold on... who told you that you didn’t pay?
All those hours figuring out what to post, recording videos, editing, showing up even when nobody seems interested... what do you call that?
Let me show you something.
- A media buyer spends time figuring out which creative will get attention. You spend time figuring out which content will get attention.
- They shoot videos, write copy and test different angles. Please, what exactly are you doing differently?
- They need a way to turn that attention into sales. So do you. And whether the traffic is paid or organic, somebody still has to do the selling.
I’m not saying you should abandon organic and start running ads.
I’m saying stop confusing “I didn’t spend money” with “I didn’t spend anything.”
You worked for those results. Sometimes for months before you saw anything worth celebrating.
So celebrate the money you made. Celebrate the audience you built.
But after putting in all that work, you’re now telling us it cost you NOTHING?
Ah. So if somebody else asked you to do that same work for them, would it still be free?

Watching 50 digital marketing tutorials doesn't automatically make you a digital marketer.
At some point, you must stop collecting information and start applying it.
Learn something today.
Practise it tomorrow.
Improve it the next day.
