Elon Musk just called SpaceX “an anomaly in the matrix,” and the reason behind that statement is insanely extraordinary
China has demonstrated an incredible ability to scale manufacturing once it masters a technology, especially with batteries and solar panels
But SpaceX is the rare exception
A single American company is delivering more payload mass into orbit than the entire rest of the world combined
And Elon is now bringing that same manufacturing philosophy to something even more complex: advanced semiconductors
This is where Terafab becomes incredibly massive
SpaceX and Tesla are building to bring logic chips, memory, advanced packaging and testing together under one roof, with a target of producing 1 terawatt of compute hardware annually
And Elon's recent reply reveal just how far ahead he's already thinking about the engineering challenges
And now he's already discussing advanced HBM architectures, stacking RAM directly on top of logic chips, placing SRAM beneath logic, and solving the enormous cooling challenges that come with these 3D chip designs
Because designing advanced chips is only part of the problem. Manufacturing them at extraordinary scale is an entirely different challenge
SpaceX transformed the economics and scale of orbital launch by developing reusable rockets and continuously improving how they are manufactured and operated
Now Elon is extending that same approach to the silicon that will power Tesla's autonomous vehicles, Optimus robots and SpaceX's orbital SI infrastructure
When Terafab produces massive scale, it will represent another extraordinary leap in American industrial manufacturing
SpaceX has already shown what happens when an entire industry is rethought from the ground up
Now Elon is doing it again with super SI chips
@japanvistamedia This serene autumn view at Korin-in Temple is truly captivating 🍁 It reminds me of how nature and tradition blend so beautifully in Japan. Have you explored any other temples during fall? 😊
