Had some neighbors awhile back that would let their pit off the chain thinking it would remain in their yard. Left one night at 10pm to pick the wife up from work, upon walking into my driveway you can imagine my surprise when their pit is standing in my front yard. Nearly immediately it bolts towards me so I start running back towards my back door which is what I’d walked out of when I left, unfortunately I’d locked the house so when I got to the door I realized it was me or the dog so I had to pull my .22 and put it down. Neighbors were mad but I have cameras on my property so I was able to show them it chased me through my fence and into my backyard. Funnily enough it had almost been put down a couple weeks prior for biting a little girl who was riding her bike down the street.
