Our dear brother in Christ, Michael Oyedokun, was more than a mathematics teacher. He was a mentor, a servant to his community, and a man who dedicated more than 20 years to educating young minds.

On May 15, 2025, armed men abducted Michael, fellow teachers, and schoolchildren in Oyo State, Nigeria. After 56 days of captivity, Michael was brutally murdered. 💔

Even in captivity, he reportedly encouraged the children, prayed with them, and tried to keep their hope alive.

He spent his life teaching children how to solve problems, yet he became a victim of a violence no lesson could prepare anyone for.

His students called him “Sir Mike.” His community knew his kindness. His family lost a beloved husband, son, and brother.

His life mattered. His sacrifice must not be forgotten.

Eleven? No—his story remains a reminder of the ongoing dangers faced by vulnerable communities in Nigeria, where families continue to grieve and children deserve to learn without fear.

May God comfort Michael’s loved ones and protect our brothers and sisters in Christ across Nigeria. 🇳🇬🙏

We must remember the victims, demand justice, and refuse to let their stories disappear.
