Ukrainian President Zelenskyy says he had a "great conversation" with President Trump during a phone call on Trump's 80th birthday as the two leaders prepare to meet at G7 this week in France.
"I congratulated President Trump on his birthday, and we have had quite a detailed discussion about many key things – peace, surely, was among them. I wished President Trump every success, above all in his work to end Russia’s war against Ukraine," Zelenskyy said.
The fuel crisis is spreading across Russia.
A resident of Novorossiysk asks for life hacks on how to live without gasoline.
"We've learned to live without water, electricity, and the internet. Without everything. But how the hell are we supposed to live without fuel? What app do I need? How do I beat the system?"
Russia is carrying out hundreds of strikes against Ukrainian cities and communities, attacking our civilian infrastructure every day. This past week alone, the Russians have launched 1,920 attack drones, 1,790 guided aerial bombs, and 17 missiles of various types against Ukraine. We need to step up our countermeasures against these attacks. We are preparing for meetings with partners to strengthen our defense against this Russian terror. The G7, EU, and NATO summits are ahead. And it is very important that these negotiations result in concrete decisions. We expect meaningful meetings with our partners.
First and foremost, we need support for air defense and our long-range capabilities, an expansion of cooperation in the Drone Deals format, and further strengthening of sanctions pressure on Russia. We must end this war in a dignified way and with guaranteed security. And it is through strength, the unity of partners, and pressure on Russia that this can be achieved in a lasting way. I thank everyone who is helping us!
Our warriors have achieved good results in applying long-range sanctions against important facilities on the territory of Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
More than 700 kilometers from our state border, in Russia’s Yaroslavl region, SSU warriors struck an oil facility that was important for the reserves of the aggressor state.
Warriors of our army reached their targets in Russia’s Tula region – specifically, the Azot plant, whose operations are critical to explosives production capabilities.
Air traffic restrictions were imposed at six Russian airports, and overall, since yesterday evening, 28 regions of Russia have been under air raid alerts.
There were also hits on the occupier’s military logistics in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
Ukraine is carrying out its plan of long-range sanctions against Russia and the assigned tasks regarding mid-range strikes in response to Russia’s refusal to end this war. We have offered the Russian leadership every possible format for negotiations – and the only response was continued aggression and attempts to expand it. It stands to reason that the war is coming back to where it came from. Ukraine needs peace. Glory to Ukraine!

Among all the European nations that have already joined the European Union or see such a prospect for themselves, Ukraine is the one making the greatest sacrifices for Europe. We are not simply carrying out internal reforms, nor are we simply going through a transformation. We are fighting for our state, for our independence, and for our right to choose our own path and to be Europe.
And this right of ours is at the same time the right of every nation in our region. We are fighting for our freedom and theirs, for Europe for ourselves and for them – for the Baltic states and for Poland, for Hungary and Slovakia, for Romania and Moldova, and for the peoples of the Caucasus.
That is why the fate of Europe is being decided here – it is being decided in Ukraine, in this war, and in how this war ends – and whether Russia will still have the strength and the desire after this war to threaten the existence of Ukraine and its other neighbors, and the entirety of Europe.
That is why we must end this war with dignity and with guaranteed security. And this is what we will discuss with our partners during the G7 Summit in France, and later at the European Council Summit and at the NATO Summit in Ankara.
⚡️Russian Armed Forces brigade commanders are trying to hide the successful assault operations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Lyman direction
Changes in the Lyman direction (22.05-13.06) indicate a shift in the nature of the fighting
Thanks to local counterattack tactics, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully recaptured several previously lost positions and strongpoints from the occupiers
Ukrainian forces shifted from static defense to active operations, forcing the enemy to halt assaults in some sectors and switch to defense
The Ukrainian 🇺🇦 blocus of Crimea is starting 🇷🇺

The Defense Forces continue systematically dismantling Russian logistics at the northern gateway to Crimea. According to Dmytro “Perun” Filatov, commander of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmytro Kotsiubailo, Ukrainian units struck a railway bridge and a pontoon crossing near Chongar in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson Oblast today.
Following previous strikes on the Chongar road bridge on June 7 and June 9, Russian forces began actively constructing pontoon crossings in the area. Today, Ukrainian troops targeted those pontoons as well as nearby railway infrastructure.
The overall situation as of today:
Over the past week, Ukrainian forces have struck all key ground corridors connecting Kherson Oblast with Crimea:
🔴 Chongar Bridge (road and railway sections) — struck multiple times;
🔴 Bridge on the Arabat Spit (Henichesk);
🔴 Perekop–Armyansk road bridge;
🔴 Bridge near Stavky;
🔴 Two bridges across the North Crimean Canal (Preobrazhenka and Myrne).
The campaign to wear down Russian rear-area logistics continues. The situation remains highly dynamic.
🌉 The Russian-appointed governor of occupied Kherson Oblast, Vladimir Saldo, has confirmed strikes on the Chongar crossings.
Saldo also stated that the bridges connecting Henichesk and the Arabat Spit were targeted during the attack. He claimed that 25 drones were shot down, without mentioning how many reached their targets.
📍 The Chongar crossing is currently closed, while traffic on the Arabat Spit bridges is operating in reverse mode using a single lane.
