I’ve seen several discussions about Japanese players’ behavior at the Melbourne Regional.
I wasn’t there myself, so I don’t know the full details of what happened.
However, I believe it’s very important to respect the local culture and the players whenever we participate in tournaments abroad.
I’ve competed in tournaments across more than eight countries, and every country had an amazing Pokémon community that welcomed me warmly.
That’s exactly why I don’t want to see this community damaged.
I want even more people to experience how wonderful this community can be.
I played against Hiromu Sasaki in round 6 of Melbourne Regionals. In game 3 he played Unfair Stamp, drew 6, played Crushing Hammer, flipped tails, realised he drew 6 and pointed it out. He took the Crushing Hammer back and I called a judge.
