We observed similar patterns across several of our tools. From a product and growth perspective, exposing a constrained preview of the output can be effective in driving engagement. Allowing users to access a limited portion of the analysis creates a curiosity gap that encourages deeper interaction, which in our case translated into strong conversion rates.
That said, the preview layer needs to be carefully calibrated. The visible portion should deliver enough meaningful insight to demonstrate clear value, while withholding key details to preserve the incentive to register or subscribe. Overexposing the output reduces the perceived need to convert, whereas under-delivering weakens the value proposition. Finding the right balance between informativeness and restriction is critical to optimizing both activation and monetization.
