Today on Friday 3 June, to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen, we will attempt to ring the Abbey bells to a full peal of 5,000 changes of Cambridge Surprise Royal.
We will begin at 12pm and, if successful, will last approximately 3 and a half hours.
We are ringing lots today on Easter Sunday! 7.30am-8.00am to usher in the day with the ringing of bells. Then 10.40am-11.30am and a quarter peal before evensong, around 2.20pm-3.30pm.

2021 marks the 200th anniversary of the Ellacombe chime. Today, Chiming will start at 12pm in New Zealand and will go around the world, with bells chiming at noon local time in each time zone. Bath Abbey will join at midday, please listen in if you are in the area.

Our tenor bell will start tolling half-muffled at 2pm today for an hour before the funeral of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Immediately after the funeral service (from about 3.50pm) the @BathAbbeyBells will then be rung half-muffled in honour of HRH. @BathBID @InBath
