🗣️Slavia Prague captain Lukas Provod had some nice words to say on #Arsenal youngster Max Dowman following the win in Prague last night: ‘I know which player it was, but I had no idea Max was fifteen years old. And hats off to him for making it here in Eden – the youngest player in the Champions League in history. I will be watching him and I believe he will only grow.’ 🇨🇿 🤝
David Raya made sure Arsenal youngsters Max Dowman and Andre Harriman-Annous had their moment after the win over Slavia Prague 🥹
Dowman made history as the youngest player ever to feature in the Champions League 💫
Leandro Trossard has been #Arsenal’s most consistent attacker this season. He’s always available to play, has incredible intelligence, deceptive strength and two footed decisiveness in the final third, and that’s what gives him such an impressive G/A record. A difference maker.
Donnarumma had 17 goal kicks in the game Vs Arsenal and on average took 21 seconds to take each one. That's nearly 6 minutes of waiting for a GK to take the kick….
His yellow card didn't come until the 75th minute 👍
🚨🗣️ | Jan Aage Fjortoft (on the double standards from the English media praising Pep for his defensive gameplan vs Arsenal on Sunday): "We should be aware that when Arteta did that with only 10-men at The Etihad, we had a go at Arsenal for being too deep... And now we're giving compliments to Pep for being that deep [with 11-men]."
I don’t condemn Liverpool for this enormous spend like some. Quite the contrary. They’re absolutely entitled to spend like this because they’ve worked so hard to increase their income and run their club well. They did it the right way. No cheating.
But Liverpool fans have to dispel the notion that they deliver on the cheap. It’s always been bollocks but this should really put that nonsense to rest.
They’ll probably be top 4 wage spenders in the world now and their squad cost will only be behind Man City and Chelsea in terms of how much it cost.
Good for them. Don’t give us that underdog horseshit though.
Why am I hearing an “Arsenal have to win the league” narrative?
Liverpool have spent £200m more on transfers this summer having won the league.
It would be an abject failure if Liverpool don’t win the league this season!
I'll post Player #82 after lunch but first a wee reminder that Robert and I's latest book 'A Celebration of Anglo-Scottish Footballers ' is out now. Reposts would be appreciated but sales even more so😁😁😁. @PitchPublishing
🎥 Arsenal fans already have a chant for new signing Eberechi Eze, after being unveiled today. 🔊
🎶 We can hear them crying at the Lane, Eberechi he scores again, one chat with Mik Arteta he said ‘wow’, f*ck off Tottenham, I’m a Gooner now! 🎶❤️
On Wednesday afternoon, Eze called Mikel Arteta. Before he signed for Tottenham he wanted to make sure there was no chance he could sign for Arsenal.
Arteta told him the board had a meeting that afternoon... and by Wednesday evening, a deal had been agreed.
[@TheAthleticFC]
Tim Lewis and Steve Parish share a long standing excellent relationship and have worked on multiple football related projects. Did Parish stall the Eze deal the last 48 hours after covert conversations?
Frankly, some things are better left for folklore.
Andrea Berta built a fantastic relationship with the Eze camp over the last 6-8 weeks. I am sure that will come out sooner or later.
Josh being in the UK helped massively as Mikel and Andrea delivered an undeniable pitch in person. While some at the club raised PSR concerns, Josh stood firmly with Arteta. Green light was given and Tim Lewis / Parish and Berta / Eze agents completed the greatest hijack in recent times.

For those of us who truly understand football, there is nothing inherently wrong with Arsenal’s left wing. Its structure reflects the manager’s tactical philosophy. The left-back operates as an inverted midfielder with limited overlapping, unlike Ben White or Timber on the right, who frequently supports Saka. Consequently, any left winger will naturally receive less support from the left-back. On the right flank, however, Saka benefits from the shadow runs of White or Timber. To the casual fanbase, this asymmetry is often misunderstood, leading them to believe that recycling or signing additional left wingers would solve the issue. ⚽️😊🍻🤪
