I was an early Tesla adopter - I bought my Model 3 in 2019. Oddly enough, my new Cybertruck cost about what I paid for the Model 3 seven years ago, so counting inflation, the Cybertruck was cheaper! I think you can buy a new AWD Model 3 for about $47K now, so they have gotten cheaper, far cheaper when you count inflation. My Model 3 had the old computer system (HW3) and although I paid outright for full self drive, it was only able to run FSD the last year or so with what is now 2 full versions behind what the newer Teslas can do with the newer computer system (HW4). The difference is astounding. The latest full self drive version as implemented on the Cybertruck and all HW4 vehicles is perfectly smooth, never hesitates, and makes far better driving decisions than most people. The older version on my Model 3 was ok on the freeways, but dicey on streets, hesitating a lot, especially on yellow lights and turning right on red lights. It went over the speed limit most of the time. It also sometimes applied the brakes hard for no apparent reason (ghost braking). Nothing dangerous, just aggravating. The new version of full self drive on the Cybertruck handles everything perfectly. It's like having a calm and experienced chauffeur driving while the old FSD was kind of like Mad Max. Tesla came out with an updated version of full self drive for the older HW3 Teslas - supposedly nearly as good as the version now running on HW4 Teslas. I got it a few days ago but we were out of town so I haven't had a chance to test it myself but reviews have been good.
When I ordered my Cybertruck they told me I could transfer my Full Self Drive (FSD) from my Model 3 to the Cybertruck but they changed their mind about 2 weeks later and also will only add FSD as a subscription service. It griped me because I never was able to use FSD much and it never worked well. So whoever buys my Model 3 will get FSD permanently (now with improved software) while I'll have to pay the monthly fee to use it on my Cybertruck. Oh well!
Something unexpected: I've not gotten any rude gestures driving my Cybertruck so far, but have frequently gotten friendly waves.

I picked up my new $59K standard AWD Cybertruck this morning. I ordered it Feb 22. The delivery staff in Tampa said it is the first $59K model he has seen in Tampa. Having a 2019 HW3 Model 3 for the past 7 years, the Cybertruck was quite an upgrade and the current FSD is light-years ahead of the 12.6.4 I had on the model 3 which was essentially unusable. Still unhappy Tesla would not transfer the FSD since it ran so poorly on the model 3, I didn't use it much.

I ordered my $59K AWD standard Cybertruck on February 22nd. In early June they contacted me to confirm my ID. A few days ago they sent me a VIN and I am picking up my Cybertruck in Tampa on Saturday, July 25th! I think this must be in the first batch they are sending to Tampa as Grok found no evidence of previous $59K cybertruck deliveries in Tampa. So if you are in the Tampa area and waiting for your $59K Cybertruck, it might be on its way!

My Model 3 was faster. I ordered it April 22nd 2019 and picked it up about two weeks later.

At least it was in a bag. I think the neighbor could have put it to one side of the porch. I'm guessing this wasn't the first time. But why didn't they just talk to you about it? I've had a growing problem with my dogs barking at neighbors so finally got bark collars for them (a mastiff, and two Irish Setters) about a month ago. The neighbors never complained but I could tell it was bothering them. Now the house is nice and quiet for both the neighbors and I. I only have to put the collars on them once in a while now. The house and property are now quiet and life is more relaxing! We have a dog door that lets the dogs in our fenced back yard to do their thing, and the leash laws in Hillsborough county don't allow a dog or cat out without a leash or fence.

This morning (June 5th) I received notice on the Tesla app to confirm my identity in regards to the Cybertruck AWD standard order I placed on Feb 22nd this year. The app wanted me to take photos of my license but kept crashing, so I called Tesla support. The support guy had me email photos of the front and back of my license directly and he entered them for me. He confirmed that I could not transfer FSD from my 2019 Model 3. Now the app has my ID and I get the following notice: Delivery scheduling will open once we confirm your vehicle's arrival date. So I'm hoping to receive the Cybertruck in a few weeks!!

I ordered the cybertruck AWD standard on February 22 this year. Today (June 4) my Tesla App asked me to confirm my identity in regard to the Cybertruck so I guess it's getting close!! Unfortunately the Tesla App crashes when I try to confirm my identity. I have submitted a help request.

@JamesMicha9312 I ordered mine Feb 22nd and no VIN yet. Grok tells me that as of now, only earlier AWD Standard February orders have received VIN numbers. I'm hoping to hear something by mid June!

I've finally become fed up with Tesla. I've had a Model 3 with FSD (HW3) for 7 years. I've had a semi-usable version of FSD for the past year even though I fully paid for it in 2019 with the promise it would only be a few years until it would work. So considering its only sort of worked on HW3 for the past year, its cost me $500 per month for barely usable FSD. At that time there was no clear information on when and if current FSD would ever work with HW3. Back in 2019 I paid a deposit on a Cybertruck that was to cost about $50,000 for the AWD version. When they came out they were $80,000 and up so I couldn't buy one. Bait and Switch! When the new standard AWD Cybertruck was announced in February this year at $60,000, I ordered one on February 22nd with the understanding that I could transfer my FSD to it as long as I ordered it before March 1st. Soon after that, Elon Musk decided that Tesla would only transfer FSD if I took possession of the Cybertruck by March first. Bait and Switch again! I had noticed that Musk's new contract pays him more if he gets subscriptions to FSD to a certain very high level. So its no coincidence that he stopped allowing FSD to be transferred. So assuming I get the Cybertruck I will have to pay at least $100/month if I want to use FSD. You can bet that it will go up as much as possible every year. Even though Musk stated that HW4 would be enough for all future FSD versions -- I simply don't believe it. He just doesn't want people to delay purchasing a Tesla to wait for HW5. Another Bait and Switch in the making! As a low volume item for Tesla, I doubt they will support Cybertruck much into the future. Yes I know I can get my deposit back, and get a Rivian, but then there is no possibility of FSD, and I planned on having FSD as I am in my 70s and would be more comfortable with FSD as I get older. So Musk has managed to turn and avid stock holding Tesla owner and supporter into a cranky old man. Thanks Elon!
