Migrated 400 files from nextjs to vitejs in 3 days: build is 50% faster, real load time for users reported in prod 70% faster, dev start/stop went from 15s/3s refresh + 5s for each page to 163ms/23ms for all pages.

@kentcdodds Never helped me once. It’s a linter level effort, that the IDE can derive easily and never really help the devs themselves.

@winterrose In france, my daughter has 2h break. Each class level has 10min to settle and leave and 30min to eat then different activities in free form like reading, doing homework or sport. The food is provided by the school, 3 euros a meal and it’s good.

@alxolr @thdxr You are Pareto correct (80% correct). the day your app needs to display 200k entries in its list in less than a second and have automated workflows based on complex filters, you’ll be happy to have the raw performance available.

@rikarends Wait til you look at npm auth libraries… they all implement oauth, which is 2 fetch requests. 200kB in your front end…per connector! Ours are 5 lines each thank you very much.

@thdxr Most of the time, I really don’t. X2 complexity, operation cost, for 10min of availability a year, 90% of my 3rd party services and clients are down anyway at that time.
