Happy Father's Day to Palestinian Men
Who are brave, courageous, loving and caring. Our fathers, brothers, uncles.
Who dig our families out of the rubble with their bare hands.
Who are going through deep trauma as their families are being killed and they’re unable to protect them.
I can’t imagine what it must be like to be a Palestinian father, having to watch your kids starve and to know that there’s nothing you can do to provide for them.
Our men have been demonised, perceived as criminals, and never afforded the presumption of innocence or humanity at all.
We know that they're systematically ignored in any recollection of those killed and injured because the summaries focus on the women and children.
It’s important to resist and reject these attempts to demonise our men because our men are noble, kind and dignified.
