@reggiebblue@RubinReport@parkergetajob Dave Rubin could have cited much less border crossings, more deportations etc (which some Americans think are good things). Also he left out the most indicative and spectacular metric : the personal wealth of the President, his family members and friends.
@RestPoliticsUS@KattyKay_@Scaramucci Sanction on Russian oil is lifted so even major Chinese refineries can now buy it openly. China also has ability to significantly increase coal energy production. I do not have the nos. but they should help increase Chinese resilience
Pete Hegseth on the U.K. declining to assist in Iran or help reopen the Strait of Hormuz:
"Last time I checked there was supposed to be a big bad Royal Navy that could be prepared to do things like that."
@KobeissiLetter If we left National Security up to markets and the private sector, we would all be speaking Chinese tomorrow. Thank God we have real leadership.
Hegseth: I witnessed lethality. I met a junior airman as the sun was going down and a chill was setting on the tarmac, who, when asked what they needed, she simply looked up at me with a sly smile on her face and said, more bombs, sir, and bigger bombs. We will happily oblige her.
@StateDept Then the US is done or almost done, isn't it, according to the data released by Pentagon and POTUS? Then why is US still sending ground troops, pine for a deal with Iran and threaten fire and brimstone if it does not get one? Maybe I have low IQ, but I am even more confused now
@RnaudBertrand@Zeejnoob of precision guide missiles missiles are depleted that'll take years to replace at current production rates. (The Patriot interceptors used already exceed the no. Ukraine receive from US & Europe in 4 years, and no, Ukraine did not received ANY Tomahawks)
@RnaudBertrand@Zeejnoob Also oil & gas prices surge and is likely to stay high for quite some time because of chokehold on S. of Hormuz. and damage to refining & processing facilities. Tens of billions are spent, not counting damage to expensive equipment like THAAD. US inventories ...
@RLHeinrichs I am not sure if the Iranian regime even has a unified stance, considering how difficult communication among leaders must be. But it sure is not behaving as if it think it is in "no position". And I think it won't be anytime soon
@defense_civil25 NATO at the beck and call of a rogue member who unilaterally launches offensive action without even first informing NATO? Sorry๐บ๐ธ, NATO is a DEFENSIVE + ALLIANCE that does not work like that. It does not wipe the bottom of any member who goes rogue
@atrupar But I actually think it's the especially smug, self-satisfied ones like Mr Hassett and Bessent who smirk in front of TV and confidently lecture us hoi polloi on the "real" state of the economy
@atrupar The cynical me thinks this is how all econ elites think about the US economy. It's about the stock market, venture capital investments, how many new billionaires are minted, etc. My Hassett is just being blunt that's all.
@JasonCrutc6017@mr_mayank History isn't too difficult to bush up. Even Grok might suffice. In short the American are acting in their own interests, strategic, financial, ideological, military, balance of power, etc. It join the side of the Allied because its interest is more closely aligned with theirs
@Michael7ucci No country/regime is no Head of no Snake. But any clear eyed person around the world, not just in the US, can see the sources of the current lawlessness and disorder is the US and Israel
@kenmoriyasu I doubt if the Chinese leaders will lose sleep over this. China has months of oil reserves. Stoppage of Qatari LNG may hurt a little but there are other sources (Russia, Kazakhstan etc) It can also switch to coal-fired plants for more of its energy needs
@Acyn I predict the mullahs will surrender soon upon hearing this and similar proclamations by the SoW. Either they will try and fail to match his bombast, or they will nearly die laughing. That's the strategy. Brilliant!
