@woodlandbirder Well said. All trees are dying in Suffolk esp. syc, birch, willow, poplar, ash, elm, oak etc
It is so sad we are not adapting our management to climate change and pathogens.
We can do more at all stages of a plants life.
Natural colonisation is better, but it'll succumb to phy!
@TonyJuniper @woodlandbirder National problem:
Cause = Climate Change
Primary Pathogen = Phytophthora
Stress related pathogens = Bacteria, honey fugus, sooty bark disease, ash dieback, Dutch elm disease.
Natural England ought to be far more proactive and reactive = Greater mitigation management.
@EnglandRugby England supporter.
The All Blacks were robbed by a dubious try as the ball may not have been touching the line.
The ball was at an angle & short of the line. It certainly wasn't a clear decision, & therefore a try that was crucial to the final score should not have been awarded.
@HughFW@SustShow We have a milkman who also supply re-fill products. We purchase organic veg. Reduce meat consumption & only eat quality meat. Buy second-hand clothes.
@HughFW@SustShow I have also set up a new tree nursery at Staverton, Suffolk.
Staverton is the best site in the world to see ancient Quercus robur trees.
In 80ha it has over 2,800 ancient trees
I planted 145 saplings in the park from acorns collected in the park and raised in the tree nursery.
@HughFW@SustShow I have set up:

with a friend.
We now need films.
It is all Free.
The aim is to share action and to inspire others.
The three measures that give high £ savings THIS winter, reducing thermostats, lowering boiler flow temps, and insulation. NO government ambition 🙃 maddening.
