@Me10897316@rainyontwt Because people knew they could only reproduce in a straight relationship, and historically marriage was much more about continuing your bloodline than love
@HarrisonTarzan@1EricAfton@LilyLilac64@frootlooosp Well my point was more that it’s not describing a physical, biological fact, it’s just a social construct we invented that doesn’t need to hold power over how people choose to present themselves
@1EricAfton@HarrisonTarzan@LilyLilac64@frootlooosp There are multiple other languages that have no such thing as ‘he’ or ‘she’ and everyone is called a neutral pronoun. The only objective things is people are most often male or female (or rarely intersex). This is dictated by your hormone balance, so when people take hormones
@1EricAfton@HarrisonTarzan@LilyLilac64@frootlooosp Correct! Gender doesn’t exist factually because it’s a concept we made up. It’s arbitrary, how come we call people with certain body parts different things when it has no relevance to everyday conversation? 1/2
@kikiketsu Why do people think they’re crayons? Obviously they’re spools of fabric in the colours of each critter, hence the sewing kit to sow their limbs back on if they get injured
