Hey gang here are a few of the book suggestions from this week’s chapter meeting. Reply in the comments if you have any good reads on the subject of miracles and the supernatural.
Former atheist shares what the “greatest legal mind” said when he was asked to reach a verdict on whether the resurrection of Christ was real.
Sir Lionel Luckhoo was the most successful defense attorney in the world. He won 245 murder trials in a row.
But one day, someone asked him to apply his legendary legal skill to reach an informed verdict on whether Jesus actually rose from the dead.
Luckhoo had been skeptical of the resurrection—but after spending years investigating the evidence, he came to this conclusion:
“I say unequivocally that the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ is so overwhelming that it compels acceptance by proof which leaves absolutely NO ROOM FOR DOUBT.”
PBD guest and journalist Lee Strobel shared that Sir Lionel Luckhoo’s sister just happened to be one of his neighbors.
She showed Strobel her brother’s papers, and it was “ultimately a confirmation” of what he discovered in his own research—that the evidence for the resurrection of Christ was overwhelming.

Rosaria Butterfield on her conversion:
"The power of the Word of God flowed into my life, and I fled to Christ in repentance and belief, and I wondered 'What in the world is going to happen to me now?' And the reason was this, I was actually not converted out of homosexuality. I was converted out of unbelief, but because I was converted, the Lord showed me how He changes the affections of His people.
So those are two separate things, but they go together because God changes affections. The Lord Jesus Christ pays for the sins of His people on the cross, but He also shows you how to break the chains of bondage, and that is the one piece that the evangelical church doesn't talk about enough, doesn't teach enough, and that is called the doctrine of sanctification."
Excited to announce the film adaptation of Stephen Meyer's bestseller Return of the God Hypothesis.

@PaulAnleitner Thank you for explaining this! Every one keeps talking about how great it is and I hate it. I thought I was the crazy one. I think you summed it up perfectly when you simply said: it’s not Star Wars.
