It was not Rohit Sharma's mistake. When you play in front of the wicket, it is the striker's call, and the non-striker needs to uphold it. Gill denied the run, and this is also not the first run-out involving him and Rohit Sharma.

If the striker says yes to a run, there is no question of saying no. These basics of running between the wickets are taught in childhood. All of these are basic things.

The story of Pujara's 100th Test match:

Rohit was batting flawlessly and was in full flow, while Pujara had been struggling throughout the 2023 BGT against Australia. There was a mix-up between Rohit and Pujara, and it was 100% Pujara's mistake.

Rohit could have just taken two steps back and saved his wicket, but he sacrificed it for Pujara because Puji was playing his 100th Test match and was struggling for form.

In the same way, Gill could have done that for Rohit, but he didn't. I can't even blame him, as that's his personality, everyone is different.

No matter who was at fault, these types of situations show a person's true character. Rohit is a great human being with a true leader's personality. No one can be like him.
