After a season long qualifying series, with the top 162 qualifiers battling it out over 2 rounds this weekend, our congratulations go to the 2023 Captain’s Final winner Mr John McCombe , and
to Matt Lamb who took the Scratch Prize over the two days with scores of 74 and 76.

There’s a peculiar criticism of routines in schools, often from staff who have been in place when things were really bad: ‘Well sure it used to be dangerous, the kids ran wild, and the results were in the toilet- but at least we had the freedom to do what we liked.’ It’s bizarre. They’re so close to understanding.
