Jack Bauer had his premium repertoire today for @HailStateBB working 2.2 IP, allowing just 1 H, 1 ER, 1 BB and punching out 2, keeping the Bulldogs within striking distance
FB 97-100, SL 86-89 (3,100+) and the occasional changeup
First taste of SEC action for Jack Bauer last night vs. Georgia:
2.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 2 K — 43 pitches.
Excited to see what role he ends up playing by the time Hoover rolls around. Could be a big development for the State pen.

Story: https://t.co/wewr1e3Bye
Mississippi State run-rules Grambling tonight at Dudy Noble Field, 12-0 in seven innings. It was sort of a nondescript game, and after a few innings, possibly the greatest suspenses were if the win would be a no-hitter or a shutout. No and yes.
Someone once said statistics are for losers. And reporters too, or maybe that's what they meant!
So, after digging through media guides, we can advise that Mississippi State won its 18th straight at home this year, 20 if you count last year (thanks to Robbie Faulk in his last night in the pressbox for that). And, with tonight's win and 25-4 record through 29 games, the 2026 team moves past the 2019 team (an Omaha year) for that distinction, and trails only 1971 and 1979 (two Omaha teams that reached 26-3).
So, an obvious question for Brian O' Connor was how, Coach, with all these streaks and superlatives just swirling around and fans have the CWS fever bad and are ready to head there already and make nonrefundable reservations, how do you keep this team focused when the biggest challenge this year to date arrives in two days?
I'll let him answer that, what he told his, and our, team after an easy game, and maybe, just maybe, when he's looking at my lens, he's looking at you and saying keep calm, but make sure you're here for this next series. It's a Thursday-Saturday one, which is always tough to make, but thanks to Uncle Greg, we have Easter Sunday off for church and family.
Weather may tinker with the schedule, so make your plans and be ready to adjust if necessary. Just be here.
