Meta is actively attacking anti-Simion accounts in Romania!!
A well-known Romanian economist, Andrei Caramitru, was blocked by Meta following massive reports from Russian networks, even though he did not violate any platform rules. Meta does not respond to any kind of request, /1
I would like to thank President Trump (@realDonaldTrump) for his strong leadership and commitment to the Romania–United States relationship, as well as for the nomination of Mr. Darryl Nirenberg as the United States Ambassador to Romania.
I extend my congratulations to Mr. Nirenberg on his nomination.
I look forward to working closely with President Trump and his administration to further strengthen the Strategic Partnership between Romania and the United States. Our countries are bound by decades of cooperation, underpinned by common values and shared interests.
I am fully confident that, together, we will accomplish major projects that will bring greater security and prosperity to our people.
Nicușor Dan a vorbit la CNN. Engleză impecabilă (chiar am remarcat că legat de niște discuții s-a corectat și în loc de "have been" a folosit "took place"). A vorbit coerent, închegat, diplomatic, echilibrat.
Nicușor Dan are o capacitate de învățare incredibilă.
Simion a indeplinit ordinele lor, incercand sa destabilizeze imaginea Romaniei in Europa.
Imi ramane o singura intrebare.
DANA HERING
Summary of the day (17.09.2024 at 14:05 RO/UA):
The last post related to ATACMS and Stormshadow had an unexpected success and may be caused either by the fact that I asked you to support the post with a like/share/comment or because you really found the post valuable. My question is what is the reason for such success? Do you still want such detailed and technical posts or was it simply your response to my call? I await your answers in the comments and now I turn to the situation on the Kursk front, which is extremely dynamic:
Operation Kursk:
To make it easier to understand what's happening in Kursk at the moment I've edited some maps from @Deepstate_UA to make it easier for you to visualize the state of affairs in the theater. In brief the situation looks like this:
0. Preamble. On August 6 the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU or ZSU) initiated a very bold operation that (as I will detail below) achieved its military and political objectives. During this operation the AFU seized about 1300 km2 of Russian territory, occupied over 100 settlements and most importantly for today's situation, destroyed all the bridges over the Seym River (on the map there are "X" over the blue line - the river), forcing the Russian Army to defend an area of 550 km2 without operational logistic lines. Further, in September we have the Russian response:
1. the Russians simultaneously initiated two vectors of attack against Ukrainian positions on the western flank, one going south from Korenevo and the second from the Ukrainian border area with the following alleged objectives:
- Pushing Ukrainian troops back into internationally recognized Ukrainian territory and severing Ukrainian logistical lines of communication (GLOCs) to make it impossible for them to hold their positions for long periods of time;
- Flanking and encircling a pocket of several hundred Ukrainian troops west of Snagost;
- Conquest of Snagost (or should I call it liberation, because it is a Russian locality in Russia and was occupied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine);
This offensive, which we might normally call a counteroffensive because it was in response to the offensive initiated by the Ukrainians on August 6, began around 10.09.24 with both vectors entering the Ukrainian lines in force with many motorized infantry, marine infantry and VDV (airborne) units.
2. The Russians failed in their intention to encircle the Ukrainian soldiers west of Snagost. The Russians took back Snagost and continued their advance south to the Ukrainian border and west to the town of Liubimovka. What is important to note is that the Rylsk-Korenevo-Sudzha logistic line is in Ukrainian control, the Russians failed to capture it.
Within a few days the Russian offensive visibly lost momentum after about 3 days, which came as a surprise to both the Ukrainians and the Kremlin leadership, who expected more in a shorter time (let's not forget that Putin imposed an October 1 deadline for liberating Kursk).
3. As the Russian advance was slowing, the AFU created a diversion to the west of the Russian attack vector, entering Russia in the Novyi Put-Veseloe-Glushkovo direction. Novyi Put and Veseloe are localities that the Ukrainian Armed Forces of Ukraine have also conquered according to Russian and Ukrainian sources (we are only talking about sources at the moment, because, as with the initial operation, operational silence is widespread among Ukrainians).
The breakthrough started on September 12 by the AFU is modest in terms of territory conquered (5.5 km deep and about 6 km wide) but it is important because it succeeded in forcing the Russians to take two important decisions:
- Involving even more Russian units in their counteroffensive;
- The redeployment of some units that were originally intended to break through the Ukrainian defenses in the main zone, in order to eliminate the danger posed by this secondary vector.
The two problematic decisions for the Russians indicate that this diversion, which can (I do not say with conviction that it is so) turn into a tactical operation called "wide envelopment" or "left hook" and is a maneuver that is part of the "active defense" doctrine that both the Ukrainians and the Russians frequently use in this war.
So at this point, the AFU has made an impressive and surprising move at first sight, but I admit that I was expecting something in this register when in the middle of August in a conversation with Professor Armand Goșu I told him that the main vector in Kursk seems to me to be just an episode in a longer series. Why do I say it is not a surprise though?
- The AFU went into Kursk with several important military objectives, most of which were achieved. One of the objectives was to generate a western flank of the front stretching from the internationally recognized border to the Seym River. This happened in the Snagost area;
- The AFU after stabilizing the front and consolidating defensive positions destroyed the three bridges over the Seym River and initiated an attack vector (in fact, most likely a diversion) to the Tetkino settlement, very west of this main operation. The destruction of the bridges and then the systematic destruction of the pontoon bridges tells us that the Ukrainians wanted to isolate everything south of Seym, north and east of the international border and west of the Kursk front line. Basically they created a rectangle where the Russians had a big supply problem, land logistic lines non-existent;
- The AFU did not invade this 500 square kilometer area as soon as they had the logistical, manpower and equipment advantage, but waited for the Russian Army to make a move. The Ukrainian commanders probably assumed that the Russian attack vector would come from Korenevo, because that area is vulnerable to the Russians (if Korenevo fell, the Ukrainians could continue their advance towards Rylsk);
- As a result of initiating the Russian counterattack, the Ukrainians unleashed "Episode 2" of "Operation Kursk", forcing the Russians to attack and defend at the same time with units that were most likely meant to concert on the attack only.
Conclusion:
We have at this point a situation of Ukrainian tactical superiority in Kursk, even though numerically the Russian Army is in the advantage. The cleverness of the preparation of this operation is coming to the surface, and I don't think I am the only one who notices how meticulously the plan was thought out, how many steps ahead the Ukrainian commanders thought out and what moves they precisely intuited. For this we can only congratulate them and rejoice that they are succeeding with these maneuver tactics in modern warfare, inflicting heavy losses on the Russian enemy, while protecting the lives of their own servicemen as much as possible.
So Operation Kursk continues. It is a dynamic front and one that can have a major impact on the other sectors of the front, especially if it continues to be to the Ukrainian advantage. However, this being a war, a lot of dynamism, a lot of unknowns, what I am speculating here may be proven false in the days to come. But we all want this operation to continue successfully for the Ukrainians, to give them an advantage in any negotiations that may follow in 2025-2026.
The AFU have once again managed to surprise everyone, the second time in Kursk and most importantly, to shock the Russians. Glory AFU!

I'll be back in the coming days with summaries on the Kupyansk and Pokrovsk-Kurakhove front, as well as an analysis of how international aid continues, what Ukraine needs next, the impact on EU and US policy, among other things.
I repeat the call from the last text: if you think this post brings value to you with the information provided, please leave a comment, like and share to bring this information to as many people as possible. It is obvious that those who write pro-Ukraine, especially these days, are being attacked everywhere. Online, and in my case also on national TV stations run by convicts (the owner of RealitateaTV is a guy who did time in prison, and his associate Cozmin Gusa is an obvious Russophile) and fugitives (the owner of RTV is Sebastian Ghiță, a friend of Ponta, who in turn was a Lukashenko supporter. Ghiță is on the run in Russia-friendly Serbia).
So every interaction with this information helps to propagate it, reaching more eyes, thus more minds that can then reason freely.
Long live Romania! Slava Ukraini!
A russian living in Kursk ( russia ), sums up today's events in the Kursk region and told about how the russian army is being pushed out of the region by Ukranian army 😊
Russian state propagandist Sergei Mardan said that Russia is waging war in order to plunder captured territories.
Previously, Russian propaganda claimed that Russia was helping and freeing people in Ukraine. Now they have stopped being shy and openly recognized their real goals
