The Summer School for Women in Math and Stat is happening again from 29th May this year at @ictstifr!
It's a wonderful opportunity for first year women students to partake in hands-on training!

Back to the office today after attending the wonderful @bayescomp conference last week in Levi! Congratulations to the organisers for putting together a great programme! What a fantastic location to have a conference!
Just presented my research work on Large Deviations for Metropolis Hastings (joint work with @PierreNyq, soon on arXiv) at @bayescomp. Thanks to the organisers for such a nice conference!
Slides from my talk at #BayesComp2023 on "Guided sequential ABC schemes for simulation-based inference" are at https://t.co/DNzNdvJuiL. Anyone interested in plugging some of these methods in pyABC or ABCpy, please contact me or co-author @tamborrino_m .
What a great @bayescomp it was! Great talks and amazing location! I loved meeting people in 3d after years of 2d online meetings! Thanks @LassiRoininen and @MooresMt for a great #BayesComp
And so #BayesComp2023 has come to a close! Many thanks to the organizers for doing such a fantastic job. I greatly enjoyed the talks, the posters and discussions with fellow Bayesians. Looking forward to the next one!
PSA for @bayescomp folks leaving today:
Kittilä airport is packed, be there >2h in advance. The main queue is for baggage drop-off. There are machines for self check-in for your bags on the right hand side of the hall. Makes things much faster.
Safe journey! 👋
The sun is setting over Levi and @bayescomp has ended.
Thanks to all attendees for the great conversations and talks. And a special thank you to the organizers for making this awesome conference possible!

Nice sunny day yesterday @bayescomp. Great to participate to a panel discussion with experts of Bayesian computing and inference. Finally northern lights also in the sky in the evening and not just in the background in the auditorium!
Small correction of an earlier tweet: the
@bayescomp
session on "likelihood-free inference with kernel distances" is taking place today 4.30-6pm in room 1! See the thread below for more details on the topic.
