For years, we've stood with hundreds of grassroots organizations in North Carolina, empowering Black voters and tackling the issues that matter most: voting rights, healthcare, education, and the economy. This isn't just about any battleground – it's about our communities, our future. Black voters are the DECIDING FACTOR.
That's why we're dedicated to being on the ground 365, knocking on every door, making sure our communities have the resources they need. The stakes have never been higher. Join our movement: https://t.co/ZwiMQvmYK3

My brothers and I just stepped off of the 2024 Democratic National Convention stage and couldn’t be more fired up and ready to go to elect @KamalaHarris and @TimWalz! This election, we have the opportunity to move our communities forward and
This passage from Michelle Obama:
"[Kamala] understands that most of us will never be afforded the grace of failing forward… we will never benefit from the affirmative action of generational wealth.
"If we bankrupt a business… or choke in a crisis, we don't get a second, third, or fourth chance.
"If things don't go our way, we don't have the luxury of whining or cheating others to get further ahead… we don't get to change the rules so we always win.
"If we see a mountain in front of us, we don’t expect there to be an escalator waiting to take us to the top.
"No, we put our heads down. We get to work. In America, we do something."
This morning several of my friends texted and called me to say that I was featured on Morning Joe on MSNBC this morning for making the Forbes list. They recorded it on their phone and sent me the clip.
Let me tell you something…I have had my share of hateration, jealously and meanness towards me. But I am surrounded by love and protected by those that love me. God has placed some good people in my life that truly care about and love me, they push me and celebrate my wins. I’m so grateful! Love is a gift!

Throughout history, protests were co-opted and made to look bad so police and public leaders would shut them down. That’s what we are seeing now at Columbia University. The Columbia protesters have made clear their demands and want their school not to be complacent in the ongoing Genocide in Gaza. Public officials and media making this about anything else are inflaming the situation and need to bring calmness and sanity back.
On this date, February 21, 1965, my greatest hero ever, MALCOLM X, was assassinated. I did not even know who he was until I got to college, because of absence of Black anything in my education K-12. But reading his autobiography at age 18 electrified me, changed my life forever.
Wow… this one makes my heart sing like nothing else. @aswadiaspora is the academic love of my life and Sterling Stuckey influenced my thinking in such profound ways. To be a finalist for this book award is everything 🥲
