Most people use Excel worksheets.

Not many use Sheet View.

Working in a shared workbook? It lets you filter or sort without affecting everyone else.

How: View → Sheet View → New → apply your filters.

If you want to get really good at Excel,

don’t just watch tutorials.

Take a messy dataset.

Try to clean it.
Analyze it.
Build something with it.
Get stuck.
Search for a solution.

That’s where the real learning happens.

There’s a difference between knowing how to make a chart and knowing which chart the data actually needs.

@DataSecChron Very true. Sometimes, stakeholders want the meal, not the recipe and dirty dishes.

But for analysts learning from each other, the messy part is often the most valuable part.

The decisions you made before getting there are more interesting.

Write the business problem in one sentence.
Then write 3–5 questions that would help you answer it.
You'll probably approach the entire project differently.

7. So before opening Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python or R…
Write down the question first.
Your tools can help you analyse the data.
They can't decide what you should be looking for.

6. And this is where Data Analytics gets interesting.
The goal isn't to find everything in the dataset.
It's to find what actually matters to the question you're trying to answer.

5. That question can lead you to investigate:
• Distance
• Traffic
• Time of day
• Weather
• Vehicle type
• Delivery location
Now you're not just making charts.
You're investigating something.
