@Lauratobin1 a very quick question from here in Leicester, enjoying the weather forecasts, but you split the UK into North & South on the big wall planner thingy, we're in the Midlands. Which is the right forecast for us, North or South? Baz

[Barry Harteveld @baz_raf]

@RAF_Recruitment Wow... that's a good conversation cut off...

[Barry Harteveld @baz_raf]

@RAF_Recruitment could you tell me how, when I try to make an appointment through your call centre for my son I'm told I can't because of data protection? The male I spoke to was obnoxious and very demeaning. How can this be a breach of data protection?

[Barry Harteveld @baz_raf]

@RAF_Recruitment If you actually read the form you sent me, it says for family to come with under 18s... the form also asks for personal details... is that not going against your made up data protection as I could fill that in on my sons behalf!

[Barry Harteveld @baz_raf]

@RAF_Recruitment I think we're going around in circles; he's completed this form before and was told to contact the phone number to get a face to face chat...

[Barry Harteveld @baz_raf]

@RAF_Recruitment raf recruitment seems to have gone back to the dark ages. ... I take it the old adage of flexibility is the key to AirPower is no more!

[Barry Harteveld @baz_raf]

Does it mean if I make an appointment to a hairdressers on his behalf I'm breaking data protect too? Please feel free to DM me and explain, because the nice chaps at the RN recruitment could not make head nor tail of it too!

31yrs ago to the day I left West Wales with a few suitcases to join the RAF... 21yrs later having left after an accident, and after some charity jobs, I'm back in a uniform!

During their careers, each police officer is likely to encounter between 400 to 600 traumatic events. Most citizens will experience between three or four in their lifetime. https://t.co/w6dY4lgmWl

[Barry Harteveld @baz_raf]

10 years to the day since leaving the RAF… one year to the day since putting another uniform back on … seems a lifetime ago! @leicspolice @RoyalAirForce #didsomestuffinbetween

[Barry Harteveld @baz_raf]

Well it was something to do… seriously though, I’d recommend it to anybody thinking of joining an emergency service and also it’s great to put something back into the community. #volunteering #givesomethingback @LeicsSpecials @LeicsPoliceLD @leicspolice
