This morning at Anzio, I delivered a message from 101 year old Anzio veteran Harry Shindler OBE, much-loved in the town and who was not able to be there today. As Harry put it: ‘Now it is up to us to defend the freedom which was won with such great sacrifice.’ #Anzio1944
The final day of our #DDay#Anniversary tour has come to an end. Today we have witnessed flypasts, ceremonies and many emotional stories.

FrontLine Tour Day 2: Ypres to Arras passing significant battle areas. Had a private visit to underground tunnels, not open to public, that troops would’ve been in 105 years ago today.

Started the day as MC for the dawn service at the Wellington Quarry then a full day on the battlefields, some unique tunnels ending with a candlelit ceremony organised by @bb4x4@CWGC Houdain Lane.
