Messing around with Super Battle Princess Madelyn on the Sega Genesis/Megadrive!
Got the double jump working and pretty much tuned. Ground collisions are about 80% working. Added some moving platforms and the giant worm enemy - which is busted for some reason inside of the cave later on.
The first level will probably be all I do of this for the Sega due to lack of vram/sprites. Too much art has to be cut for it to function properly and the lack of hardware scaling and rotation pretty much kills off most of the bosses.
But with some tweaks this should work on the NeoGeo just fine without removing any gfx :)

Maldita Castilla: Requiem for the Genesis/Mega Drive (PlayOnRetro) is a reinterpretation of Locomalito's 2012 PC game. The original was a tribute to 80s arcade classics like Ghosts 'n Goblins rooted in Spanish mythology, while on the MD it adds alternate routes and challenges rather than being as a straight 1:1 port.

Finally, some action!
In what was probably the hardest stage to adapt with all the different priority layers. Some stuff still need to be adjusted but it's playable.
