I get what you’re saying, but this is the new era of football. You have rules to comply with. Gone are the days when you could splash as much cash as you wanted and get the player you desired.

Fans aren’t celebrating the sales per se, they’re celebrating the fact that Chelsea is now in a very good position to buy the right targets if they want to.

I’m sure they’d be pissed if Chelsea sold someone integral. As of now, though, the only players sold are the backups, the ones who are no longer part of the project, or someone who is pushing to leave.

Don’t think if this Martinez deals happens, Sanchez automatically gets sold this late in the window. Even I’d prefer that, but not practical.
Should be sold this in January transfer window though.

Also, out of all the players that we bought in the last few years, Sanchez is probably the one who will never have a chance to complain about him not getting enough chances, he got chances after chances after chances. Just not good enough. Costs at least 12-15 points every season.

Price is justified given his age.

2 season PL experience.
First with Ipswich, he got 12 goals.
Second with Chelsea was rough, only 1 goal, but he never got a consistent run tbf because Joao was operating at a different level.
