He weaponized the Justice Department against a former president and the leading candidate to beat Joe Biden. He went after the phone records of sitting members of Congress through Arctic Frost. Both of his cases against Trump fell apart before they ever reached a jury.

Today he finally has to face the Senate Judiciary Committee under oath. Democrats say they want him to tell his side of the story. I want him to explain why he spied on lawmakers and tried to jail his boss's political opponent.

Lawfare has consequences, and it's time Jack Smith faced them.
