I finished this book earlier today, and it was a wonderful, cold, dark, sparse apocalypse. I'm stoked the sequel comes out soon. Highly recommend if the end of civilization as seen from the perspective of total isolation is your bag.

@Richard_Kadrey My kid (maybe 4 or 5 at the time) asked me how Santa would know he had been good, since we didn't have an elf. I told him that our pets reported his behavior to Santa because he can talk to animals. See: reindeer. He was totally satisfied w/that answer & the cat got extra treats.

I'm working 10 hrs a day right now because it's that time of year in my industry, so I should have gone to bed early tonight. But the new Detective Kaga book arrived today, and it's worth a little sleep deprivation.

I work from home most of the time and, therefore, work in pjs unless I have to be on camera. I had an errand to run on lunch today so I threw on my outside clothes, got in the car, and halfway to Target I went over a bump and realized that I didn't put a certain item on. Oops.

I kind of hope we get one group Live before they leave, with drinks and laughter and Jimin falling off a chair. Maybe some karaoke. I would prefer that to 4 emotional goodbyes. Let's say bon voyage with a celebration instead.
