@Milajoy Handing out $5k to each and every US citizen will drive inflation even higher and likely plunge the country into a recession. Why would you cheer for a recession in your own country?
@JoeGoodberry That's the frustration with Battle: He can do the stuff. He's shown that it's in there. That's why it's so frustrating when he plays so poorly because you can do all of the things at a high level at any given time
@Backupjoepags1 If the country is slipping away while republicans control the house, senate, presidency, and even the supreme court, please explain how they will do better if they are re-elected.
@JETS09646400@Capitalist_Rick How about the fact that US consumers paid for the illegal tarriffs and then the companies get the billions of dollars in refunds? Is that good economic policy?
@JETS09646400@Capitalist_Rick Of course I remember close to $6 in gas. That was called Tuesday. It was caused by tarriffs and the Iran war. I don't need some idiot who uses all caps to try to educate me. Those prices are seriously inflated and I never claimed they were included in the inflation rate
@JETS09646400@Capitalist_Rick The Fed is separate from the US government and the president has no control over their decisions. I've taken multiple upper level micro and macro economics courses, btw.
@JETS09646400@Capitalist_Rick I get it. We agree that government bailouts drove inflation. What we appear to disagree on is whether it was necessary. I believe it was. It saved numerous businesses, jobs, and helped us recover quicker than almost any other nation. Are you really blaming Biden for the fed?
