That's simply not true.

Jay didn’t correct her, but we will.

Jay Collins wasn't elected to the Florida Senate until November 2022 and wasn't sworn into office until January 2023. By then, the COVID emergency had long since passed.

In fact, Jay had only moved to Florida about a year before the pandemic began.

The only candidate in this race who was serving in state leadership and working alongside Gov. DeSantis throughout the COVID response was Paul Renner.
