Farming protests, US shift of policy on Ukraine & missiles, Xi at the G20 & public sector service reform on the agenda tonight
Your look ahead to the political week with @vickyford @karinsmyth @Samfr and @HugoGye. I also look back to the 1992 election and explore the future of universities with Chris Patten @UniofOxford https://t.co/Tll0B420OO
I join my colleagues in urging you to do what you can to help support our wonderful friend Susan Rae. She is suffering from the cruellest of diseases, one which affects far too many people we love. #earlyonsetalzheimers
Tory MPs are shocked, relieved and scheming. Here’s a flavour of the mood during another extraordinary afternoon at Westminster @BBCSounds @BBCRadio4 @BBCPM https://t.co/3wM5lwOLXE
Still some free tickets available for this Friday’s Any Questions? in Wakefield. We’ll be live from the Cathedral on @BBCRadio4 at 8 in the evening. A cracking panel so do come along if you’re nearby #bbcaq @BBCPolitics @BBCLeeds https://t.co/B30mHQi31T
Apologies - Ukraine was explicitly mentioned by Narendra Modi in his statement alongside Boris Johnson. The Indian PM said ‘we emphasised an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine and the use of dialogue and diplomacy for resolving the issue’. No mention of Russia though.
Here in Delhi, PM Modi says India and UK will try and seal an FTA by end of year. Also says diplomacy best way to end conflicts but no mention of Ukraine. No questions allowed from press either. Modi doesn’t do press conferences.
