The other incredibly exciting and unexpected thing that happened this month is that I won the @bbcedfringeslam. Having not competed in a slam for 8 years and having laryngitis during my first heat this was astonishing. 🏆
Congratulations and Celebrations to #SlamJam’s favourite @jessgreenpoet who won last night’s final of @bbcedfringeslam! We hope @jeremycorbyn goes to see her show this week - it’s brilliant 🤞
Brilliant news that Jess Green has won the BBC Poetry Slam at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018. Jess will be back on our stage on with Find The Right Words on Wednesday 19 September at 7.30pm (https://t.co/nxMzoNeqIi) @bbcedfringeslam @jessgreenpoet @FTRWpoetry
Tonight BBC Slam Champion Ben Norris hands his title on. Will Saili Katebe, Jasmine Gardosi, Jess Green, Louise Fazackerley, Casey Bailey or Nafeesa Hamid win? 630pm, BBC Site. Come sing "we are the champions" at whoever wins. Poetry for all, eh?
Proud to say I just finished in the top 4 of @bbcedfringeslam and happy to say that @jessgreenpoet is the slam champion! She has put on an amazing show at this year’s #EdFringe and deserves all the greatness! 😁
Bigup @jessgreenpoet for winning tonight's @bbcedfringeslam! Such a brilliant evening. I could've listened to scores more poems from everyone. Loved it so much.
Big up Jess, big up the midlands, big up nuance, big up one glass of red and an early bedtime. Speaking of, niight! Xxx
Also on Day 14 at #edfringe I'm thankful for:
- hanging out with old friends & new "fringe friends", with tasty food, guinness, whisky
- reflecting a little post-show with @CheapTTPod podcast
- @bbcedfringeslam final: a lovely + varied lineup
- a comfy bed!
