Perhaps differentiation has no externally imposed destination. But the absence of a conscious destination does not entail the absence of an underlying relational structure. My claim is not that reality is commanded towards it, but that it may be the structure disclosed by the relations and effects through which reality differentiates.
The “croaking into the microphone” thing fits the general atmosphere of his lectures/performances: he sometimes deliberately abandoned conventional philosophical exposition for glossolalia, sound, distorted speech, electronic noise, fragmented readings, and quasi-occult performance. The point wasn’t merely to communicate propositions; it was partly an attempt to make the lecture itself behave like the kinds of cybernetic/inhuman processes he was theorizing.
