@bennytheshap Society would benefit so much from having the ability to compare, contrast, and think critically about all the correct, incorrect, and incomplete information out there.
Really cool research
@benitteraphael Then I can more clearly focus on how just the “Never Heard” users morphed into “Interested” and the others over the next few years, and same with the others.
On hover would I be able to see participant count data?
@benitteraphael Love the sankey, however with the number of buckets + the changes in user responses from year to year it’s a bit hard to follow. I could definitely see this working where you click on “Never Heard”, and then get an individual sankey plot for all those users branching out 16’-20’
I guess the main point here is before jumping to change the dimensions of the field, adjust and regulate the equipment. It’s a much more scalable solution from year to year and level to level as the game changes and the athletes get better and better.
@MLBNow@Joelsherman1 Regarding the essay earlier this week on moving the mound back, instead of changing the infield dimensions or counts, why not just raise the seams and make the ball heavier?
One off the wall question that I don’t have any background or data on, but would love to see an episode/deep dive on would be on the bat manufacturers? Are the bats 10-20% more effective than in the 80’s or 2000’s? Does @MLB do any bat testing or have a testing protocol?
@COVID19infoLive US numbers have been a bit inflated/inconsistent over the past week or so (I saw one 24hr period that had > 6000 deaths). The numbers are also inconsistent with the WHO and CDC (whose numbers disagree as well, go figure). What API are you using for your data?
