Back to reading @tombennett71 book (I only have the headspace to read during holidays). Completely agree with creating a tribe. At @BlackhorsePri we work hard to make our culture one of being in the gang: from the extensive clubs to the overt ‘Champion Learner’ motto.
It works.
Wrote this almost exactly a year ago after Gav made an announcement about behaviour.
One year on and Gav makes another announcement about behaviour and the Hubs appear.
God forbid we’d have a nuanced discussion about behaviour

A pupil collected his results this morning. He was thrilled. Then said, 'on the last day I was meant to have a dt.What do you want me to do about it?' A deputy said, stand here for a bit.' The pupil went to move and then saw the big smile on the DHTs face.
A lovely moment.
As a school we’ve finally got the bandwidth to start thinking about how we’ll remember these last few months. I know it’s far from over, but at least we can start to create spaces to reflect once we are all back together.
New blog... 👇 👇 Teachers currently find themselves having to work from home; their classroom maybe their dining room table, their class a potted plant & the family dog, their interaction with their class a video sent... https://t.co/kjKvda6P6a #homeschoolinguk#behaviour 🐶 🎍
New blog... Plotting a course through this pandemic is a challenging and stressful time for us all. There is no doubt families who have a child with autism will be facing extra challenges.

Our little S Glos Project gets a national audience in London today at the @OptimusEd#OEbehaviour conference today, where @Southgloshead is one of the keynote speakers.
Just putting the finishing touches to my @OptimusEd behaviour conference afternoon keynote based on the @BBehaviours project, inspired by @pauldixtweets & supported by @PivotalEd. @pivotalollie is the morning keynote so should tie in well!
At a recent observation of playtime in a primary school I asked the children what the staff were like ....
“They are a lot fairer now ,they are all about safe, ready and respectful “

Made my day😊
