MW echoes a shock jock campaign resisting war crime inquiries. Low point for a show supposed to seperate journalism from clamour.

Story is definitely true. Didn’t realise at time of my tweet but Minister Fletcher had posted on social media his whole letter demanding answers about the 4Cs story. It’s addressed directly to ABC Chair Ida Buttrose. Letter is on official parliamentary letterhead.

Not Government nor the ABC Board makes editorial calls. There’s a complaints process. The statutory authority ACMA is the final judge. If It finds ABC breaches the Board will want answers. But the Minister going straight to the Board is a political stinker. No one else can!

@_denisescott Rare random response to a tweet - not sure why. Bananas produce a gas called ethylene which ripens other nearby fruit. Ethylene is also used by growers who pick bananas fairly green to ripen bananas themselves for sale. Kiwi fruit produces even more ethylene.
