Great comments here. Rural MN needs to realize that we need to treat this mid-term election just like a presidential election year. Turn out must be at levels to overcome the metro, arrowhead regions blue votes. This is the only way we can flip our state and bring sanity back.
MINNESOTA MIGHT ACTUALLY FLIP RED
You probably wrote off Minnesota a long time ago. Everyone did. This is the only state in the country that voted for Mondale in 1984. No Republican has won statewide there since 2006. But something is happening right now that should be on every conservative’s radar.
Democrats just got caught sitting on $9 billion in welfare fraud. Billions stolen from taxpayers while Tampon Tim looked the other way. The scandal got so bad he dropped out of the governor’s race entirely.
Now the Republican frontrunner @LisaDemuthMN has the kind of record that makes Democrats lose sleep. She killed their assault weapons ban. She ended taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal aliens. She forced massive spending cuts to clean up the deficit they created. Tampon Tim literally said “there’s one person stopping us” and pointed right at her because she was the only thing standing between Minnesota and their entire radical agenda.
Her running mate @RyanDWilsonMN fought on the legal team that stopped the left from removing Trump from the Minnesota ballot. He co-hosted a major Trump fundraiser. He came within 0.3% of winning statewide in 2022.
This matters beyond Minnesota. If we flip a state that Democrats have held for 50 years it sends a message that no blue state is safe anymore. The Democrat brand there is in ruins. The strongest conservative ticket in decades is on the ballot. This is the year.
Dear Residents of Eden Valley,
Last night’s city council meeting grew a bit heated toward the end, particularly during discussions about ICE operations and concerns over fraud, waste, and abuse at the state level. I want to take a few moments to provide additional context and clarification on some of the comments made—both by me and by another council member—so everyone has a clearer picture.
First, regarding the question of ICE “coming to town”: Yes, ICE agents were here recently. They stopped by City Hall, not to announce their presence or operations, but simply to use the restroom. By chance, I was at City Hall at the time and had the opportunity for a brief, casual conversation with them. Given the intense scrutiny and challenges law enforcement faces in the metro area and beyond, I chose not to put them on the defensive by questioning their purpose here. Our community has always prided itself on being kind, polite, and supportive of law enforcement—no matter the agency they represent. I thanked them for their service, expressed our appreciation for the difficult job they do every day, and let them know they were welcome. It was rewarding to see their guard drop for a few minutes, to sense they had found a brief haven of respect in our small town. Regardless of personal views on immigration policy or enforcement, these are dedicated men and women carrying out federal law. Our focus should remain on holding our elected leaders in Washington, D.C., accountable for the policies they create—not on criticizing or obstructing the officers who enforce them.
To be clear: ICE has no obligation to notify local officials, seek permission, or request assistance before entering an area. Claims to the contrary often come from those intent on causing disruption or obstruction. Eden Valley will not tolerate that kind of behavior. We will continue to uphold law and order while treating everyone—residents and visitors alike—with the respect they deserve.
Next, I’d like to address my involvement with the open letter signed by more than 261 mayors across Minnesota, directed to the state legislature and the governor. This effort stems not only from my own frustration but from what I hear constantly from you—the residents, families, and business owners of Eden Valley. We’ve all witnessed our hard-earned tax dollars squandered through reckless spending, burdensome unfunded mandates, and now billions in documented fraud, waste, and abuse at the state level.
As your mayor, I am the face and voice of our city. I will never apologize for standing up for what is right or for speaking out when our community’s interests are at stake. Many of you have shared the same concerns with me—about rising costs, limited resources, and the growing disconnect between St. Paul and the realities we face here in Greater Minnesota. As long as I serve as mayor, I will continue to be that voice, holding our state leaders accountable and advocating for common-sense solutions that put our local needs first.
It is especially frustrating to watch our families struggle to find affordable childcare or reliable daycare options for their children, while millions—and now billions—of state dollars are mismanaged or lost to inefficiency. Unfunded mandates from the state continue to strain our already tight city budget, forcing tough choices: raise local taxes, cut essential services, or both. We’ve seen this pattern too often.
And now, after a historic state budget surplus just a few years ago, we face projections of multi-billion-dollar deficits in the coming years. Questions linger: Where did the money go? Who will be held accountable for the mismanagement? How will the state rebuild trust after more than a decade of questionable fiscal decisions? These are fair questions that demand real answers—not excuses or deflection.
In closing, I know I’m not alone in these feelings. I hear your concerns, I see the challenges you face every day, and I will always stand up for what is best for Eden Valley. Whether it’s supporting law enforcement, protecting our tax dollars, or pushing back against wasteful state policies, you can count on me to be your advocate.
Thank you for your continued support and for being part of this great community.
Sincerely,
Mayor Brent Bengtson
Eden Valley, Minnesota
🚨 WATCH: Minnesota mayors sound the alarm on impacts of fraud and poor fiscal management on their cities
"Affordability is collapsing in the state of Minnesota and unfunded mandates are crushing our communities," says Crosslake Mayor Jackson Purfeerst.
According to Purfeerst, Gov. Tim Walz acknowledged in a past meeting that the "Department of Human Services was being abused."
"If this abuse was known, why were stronger safeguards not put in place sooner? ... The crisis was not sudden, it was simply ignored.
"Mayors see up close how catastrophic fiscal policy and unchecked fraud hollow out our cities, strain our budgets, and drive up taxes."
More than 250 mayors have signed onto a letter calling on state leaders to reverse course.
"Public safety, infrastructure, and basic community services are already on the chopping block — not because cities are mismanaged, but because the system above us is failing."
"When accountability fails at the very top, mayors are left with no choice but to stand up."

WE NEED MARINES HERE NOW! Locals are BEGGING for relief, 47!
I live in this state and have seen time and time again people voting in the same democrats that not just allowed this to happen but also created the mechanisms. @elonmusk here we have a once in a generation opportunity to turn things around but without help from you, I fear this state will be come the next California.
@teslasi@elonmusk - The last couple of days have been eye opening for me. I live in rural Minnesota and it is the middle of deer hunting season. So deer/car collisions are rather high. I have now had three seperate occasions where FSD v14.1.4 saw deer before I did and took action to avoid an accident. All I have to say is WOW and thank you. FSD has made a believer out of me that we are on the verge of something amazing! Can't wait for the next version.
Tim Walz wants you to forget his smug dig that rural Minnesota is made up of “mostly rocks and cows,” because it exposes who he really is: a spineless politician, completely out of touch with reality.
We deserve a leader who values all Minnesotans, not one who mocks us!

Elon Musk explains his 5-step algorithm for running companies
“First, make your requirements less dumb. Your requirements are definitely dumb… It’s particularly dangerous if a smart person gave you the requirements because you might not question them enough.”
In this interview at Starbase, Elon elaborates on his methodology for shipping everything from electric cars to rockets.
Here’s his “algorithm” quoted in full from the Walter Isaacson biography:
1. Question every requirement. Each should come with the name of the person who made it. You should never accept that a requirement came from a department, such as from "the legal department" or "the safety department." You need to know the name of the real person who made that requirement. Then you should question it, no matter how smart that person is. Requirements from smart people are the most dangerous, because people are less likely to question them. Always do so, even if the requirement came from me. Then make the requirements less dumb.
2. Delete any part or process you can. You may have to add them back later. In fact, if you do not end up adding back at least 10% of them, then you didn't delete enough.
3. Simplify and optimize. This should come after step two. A common mistake is to simplify and optimize a part or a process that should not exist.
4. Accelerate cycle time. Every process can be speeded up. But only do this after you have followed the first three steps. In the Tesla factory, I mistakenly spent a lot of time accelerating processes that I later realized should have been deleted.
5. Automate. That comes last. The big mistake in Nevada and at Fremont was that I began by trying to automate every step. We should have waited until all the requirements had been questioned, parts and processes deleted, and the bugs were shaken out.
Elon shares a costly example of doing this process in reverse on the Tesla Model 3 production line and optimizing a part that didn’t even need to exist.
“It’s possibly the most common error of a smart engineer to optimize a thing that should not exist. Everyone’s been trained in high school and college that you answer the question — convergent logic. You can’t tell the professor your question is dumb or you’ll get a bad grade. You have to answer the question. So everyone, without knowing, basically has this mental straight jacket on and they’ll work on optimizing the thing that should simply not exist.”

And here it is:
The Single Biggest Coved Scam in American History:
This is the criminal the Democrats chose for the 2024 Vice Presidency,
Governor Tim ‘Tampon’ Walz allowed a group of politically connected Somali criminals, including Ilhan Omar, to embezzle approximately $250 million in public funds.
• This was the single largest coved-scam related fraud during the Xi-Jinping -19 pandemic.
• A government-funded non-governmental organization (NGO) called ‘Feeding Our Future’, based in Minnesota, received $250 million intended to provide meals for children in need.
— Almost none of the funds were used for food.
• Where did the money go?
—— Real estate
—— Luxury vehicles and car dealerships
—— Expensive international travel
—— $160,000 sent to a company in China
—— $500,000 used to buy an apartment in Kenya
• It gets worse:
—— Ilhan Omar received thousands in donations.
—— Donations were made using fake names like “Unique Problem” and “Friday Donations.”
• The Tampon administration flagged the suspicious activity and froze the funds.
—— In response, lawsuits were filed accusing Tampon of racism.
—— Despite concerns, the fraud continued.
• One of the individuals later indicted for fraud had received the Minnesota Outstanding Refugee Award from Tampon himself.
—— That same individual was later accused of attempting to bribe a juror by delivering $120,000 in cash, with a note promising “more to come if she acquits.”
How the fuck are @Tim_Walz and @Ilhan not in prison right now?
Their crimes are pretty clear: Bribery, racketeering, conspiracy, robbery, theft, extortion, obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting.
