First PantherTales visit of the year with @bbes_library and @LH_Panthers_FB!PantherTales pairs up HS organizations with 2nd graders for reading time and fun. The players were able to read with the kids, play a little dodgeball, and even participate in the fire drill!
Guess who’s back? PantherTales! This morning @softball_lhhs hit a home run with the Bill Burden 2nd grade classes, sharing their love of books with our little Panthers. Thanks to @bbes_library for making our first two PantherTales visits so great!

Kindergarteners and first graders are prepared for the solar eclipse! We read Eclipse by Andy Rash, then did an experiment (standing between a flashlight and globe) to understand how the moon moves to block the sun’s light!

This week, kindergarteners and first graders read Texas 2x2 book Where in the World Are You? We looked at Google Maps and discussed the various ways we can describe our location, then used the book as a model to create our own books!
