In my 20s, if I was up until 4:30am, I was partying and making bad choices.

In my 30s, if I'm up until 4:30am, it's because one of my kids woke up, or I'm too immersed in a crochet project to realize it's 4:30am. (It's #crochet tonight.)

@Alex_Fedderly God bless Hemingway! The problem is, sometimes it's, "I'm gonna get drunk and write"....which is great. Other times it's,"I'm gonna get drunk and write....." But the writing never happens! Just don't screw up and try to edit drunk...I know from experience!

@girlsreallyrule A "friend" of mine is of this mind. Someone replied to him with the story of a man drowning in a flood,after refusing all offers of help. The character then asks God, "why didn't you save me" & He replies, "I sent a rowboat, a helicopter..." He didn't think it applied...*sigh*
