Thanks for all your support, it's been a great trip (and v demanding) but money was tight as it was. Spain was the hard part anyway!

However, due to all the atrocious weather driving us into hostels. We have no choice but to get the ferry home from Santander.

Day went well but very tough up in the northern mountains. Head wind came out in force.

Day 7 complete 110k and the first day dry since Day 1! Temps low though between 1 and 5 degrees!

Temp got down to 3 degrees this morning and snow was around not far above us. Making good time nonetheless.

Another day on target, getting colder up north. Hostel stop again, nice to have a roof but finances getting tight.

Tough am of heavy rain, we're now stopped for a roadside lunch in a dry spell. First puncture to Mr Trainor earlier.

It's not all grim as we did cycle through some great ever-changing scenery and some lovely little towns.

Another night, another hostel to escape the incessant rain. Rumours of weather emergencies & snow warnings in northern Spain doesn't help!

More rain today, at least not as bad as the UK. Cooking lunch in a bus shelter at the min. More hills loom this PM.

Well the rain returned this afternoon but we made good progress to our destination of Don Benito in good time.

Great morning riding, 50k done, nice weather, lovely countryside. Quite the contrast with yesterday.

Nice to sleep in a bed for the night, even though the room felt like a sauna! Off to Don Benito today, 90km.

110k done, about 5000ft climbing, driving rain and the worst pizza we've ever had for lunch, we finally made it on target to Azuaga.

Currently lunching in Constantina. What time is the next flight from LEZL? Just joking, but wouldn't mind a dry afternoon.
