Creating a culture and an environment with @OBU_Softball where young women grow and become WINNERS in life after sports!! Be confident, be a competitor, and be a servant!
College softball is so much more than physical skill, and it’s the intangibles that will set you apart.
Be a great teammate, be coachable, communicate on the field, encourage others, own your role, and buy in to outworking yourself every single day.
ENERGY KILLERS:
🔸Whispering in the dugout
🔹bad body language
🔸being upset if you’re not in the starting lineup
🔹complaining/talking bad about the coaches
🔸not being happy for your teammates
CONTROL WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL.
Win or lose, when i lay my head down to sleep every night I’m always proud of team’s character and sportmanship.
Playing teams who are rude always takes the fun out of the game!
Recruits: make sure you consider a teams off-the-field culture when picking a program!
The @FAUSoftball program gave me the opportunity to grow as a female athlete and as a leader. College sports prepared me better than anything else could have for life. Now a Head Coach myself I get to continue helping young women with opportunities to grow and succeed #NGWSD
