Staggering is completely different. There’s no feedback that your move has made contact. That’s what he’s saying. It’s like DS2 in that regard. Until you stagger.

@_Virus_Kid_ Genuinely shocked that it was nominated for GOTY when it says it’s not a Soulslike and yet has every staple of one. It’s a Soulslike. That’s obvious. LOP and Khazan are miles better than BMW. I think the animation work in that game is quite poor, carried by particle effects.

@_Virus_Kid_ BMW is the perfect example of how spectacle can sell a game. The UE5 engine carries that game. Every level was a boring game like corridor. The bosses were flashy but had no personality and the combat was so shallow you just spammed one button and got 4 animations to a weapon 1

@neoselket @16bitnostalgia I feel it leans too much into the atmosphere more than anything. The level design is good but there’s little variety in each area and every beast boss has animations with flailing limbs meaning most play the same, losing the unique nature of each boss move set.

@ElleCrits @Bee_Kae_ 14 is interesting as it’s the antithesis of 10. Lacking vain traits and gaining maturity. 10 is cocky through his sudden rise in confidence through having a great look. 10 is definitely the most dangerous out of the new era because his ego was always too much. Love 10. But fair.

@Hope_Auq @Purple_Sky____ @Bee_Kae_ His ego is what made him so dangerous. He was so charismatic to the point everyone loved him. But underneath it all, he was a broken man who absolutely loved himself. That’s why TWOM could only work with Ten. Also only living for 6 years will make you biased as an incarnation.

The use of using the Doctor as both this hero and villain as well as amazing background characters. Great villains. Fantastic use of a companion and the symbolism of early Britain before the war. Great score.

@ShalkaFanNo1 @Yairwaller Don’t suppose you know what Belinda meant when she says 3000 years that’s just coincidence right? What was significant with 3000 years and Mundy Flynn? Really felt like coincidence was gonna be a central point to this era. But it doesn’t look like it.

@thepostmonument I get that the ep was changed to accommodate Ncuti leaving. But the Rani being killed off like that wasn’t good and Belinda literally being in a box while the plot happened. Belinda having her character rewritten to Conrad’s utopia was weird. But the Poppy vanish scene was great.
