Average person working 8 hour days works 5+ hours per day to pay the government. And doesn’t realize it.

Just thinking again about how governments tax the companies we work for, then takes half for income taxes (almost 50% fully loaded), then taxes when we buy things (~9%), then property taxes (10% of rent or mortgage payment), then taxes when we sell things and the profit,and the cap gains reducing the capital available for investment into the companies that create jobs. And then the cycle repeats… companies, employees, spending, property, death, repeat.

And the government is still in debt? And the solution is more taxes and spending?

With a promise not to tax YOU. Get angry and tax that other person.

But no real serious accountability for how to actually lower costs and spend on the things that matter. Like the clear ways to actually lower housing costs for instance. (inputs being raw materials, labor, cost of capital, and regulatory capture)

It’s insane.
