I've looked into the reMarkable many times over the last few years, but the fact that you have to pay cloud subscription has always put me off. Especially since its closed source with no other vendors. Vendor lock in at its best.

Anyone with a @remarkablepaper with any thoughts?

@dgoosens @heiglandreas @IfThisThenDev @waxzce Which I guess could be solved by giving better training/requirements to people who install solar panels on rooftops. However, still highlights that as things stand today, Nuclear is by far the safest energy source per unit we have.

@dgoosens @heiglandreas @IfThisThenDev @waxzce I remember some research being done into this, which put nuclear mortality rates per energy unit way below everything else, even wind and solar. This is slightly skewed as a lot of "solar" deaths are caused by non-professionals falling off rooftops while installing.

This "space" might not be in Europe, and strong connections must be formed with say, Africa, in order to set this up. However, after what happened with Russia, I...
