I used to be afraid of change. I am learning to embrace it as I heal, as I grow, as I embrace the flaws in myself and others and really learn what unconditional love is all about…You can too.
if i love you, i would never want you to be the same person you were when i first met you time after. keep your core values close and maintain your principles but know that my love doesn’t fear your growth, my love only wants to see you bloom into the fullest version of yourself.
So great to learn with colleagues and with/from @KatieNovakUDL I appreciate your willingness to model vulnerability and authenticity and learn out loud. I am still chewing on ideas learned yesterday and can’t wait to share/apply them in our schools.
I am so grateful. Breath work is a labor of love that is helping me return home to myself. Learning that stillness and space can be my portion and it can be yours too. You deserve to be well.
I’m learning how to find my way back to myself. I’m unlearning toxic patterns that kept me in the race to do more, to be more. I am learning I am already enough, and so are you.
So grateful to learn from one of the greatest @DrYemiS today. So much rich wisdom about how to evolve our pedagogy to support the brilliance and assets of every single student. It’s where love meets intention in the best ways!
This book is 🔥Run, don’t walk to get your copy. So much brilliance in one volume inviting us, challenging us to do the necessary work to intentionally unearth rigorous joy for our babies, for ourselves. Thank you @GholdyM Joy is the antidote.
It’s the start of a new quarter and I’ve never felt so uninspired with my school work. Quantitative this quarter. How do folx stay encouraged as a doc student, while working and parenting full time? I’m tired AND open to suggestions.
Highlight of my week off was sitting at the feet of Queen @GholdyM and QueenDean @cynthiabdillard I’m still thinking about rigorous joy and the invitation to wellness. Y’all are amazing women, scholars, and a light to so many! Thank you.
It’s not that there aren’t solutions to the challenges of educational inequity. It’s more about whether folx want to truly humble themselves then listen to, compensate, and elevate those who have the embodied knowledge to create them.
We have such valuable partners in equity work! Thanks for talking with us @erinjonesin2016 and hearing testimony from @bbrown253 on creating truly inclusive environments for our kids! #waleg#waedu
i hope,
you start to live a life that is more in accordance with your intentions and led less by perceptions, i hope you’re able to find the awareness to hold onto truth tightly so you can finally let go of their misconceptions, i hope you remember that home will always be you.
as you become more you,
you’ll become less you
in the eyes of certain people,
but it’s not your responsibility
to keep up with versions of you
that they want to see.
May everything that made you feel empty in 2022 be replaced with things that fill you up in 2023—and may you have the courage to say “no” to what drains you and “yes” to those things that fill you up.
