Today we honor the nearly 3,000 men, women, and children who died on September 11, 2001, and the heroes who have always run towards danger to do what’s right. Let’s never forget that day, and let’s never take them for granted.
Today, we commemorate the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
At Grand Central Terminal, we’ll observe moments of silence for the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives in New York, Pennsylvania and the Pentagon, and the heroes who rushed to help them.
Twenty years ago, nearly 3,000 lives were cut short by an unspeakable act of cowardice and hatred on 9/11. As a nation, we must never forget those we lost during one of the darkest moments in our history and the enduring pain of their families and loved ones.
A New York City skyline that is ingrained in our hearts and minds changed forever 20 years ago on #September11. And although evil acts of terror took the lives of thousands, America stood tall shoulder-to-shoulder and the spirit of our nation prevailed. #NeverForget
We lost Willard Scott passed peacefully at 87 surrounded by family, including his daughters Sally and Mary and his lovely wife, Paris. He was truly my second dad and am where I am today because of his generous spirit. Willard was truly a broadcast #icon
