@kirsteinvoid And to add, many who are looking to play a game are looking to be more engaged than someone who is looking to watch. Like if you prefer to watch games you're gonna like until dawn more than the average gamer because of that.
@kirsteinvoid Its because its a visual novel. Most gamers prefer games with more feedback and depth in the gameplay. I like visual novels but I don't think I would ever consider one my favorite game.
@shimizu_koyangi@eefzies@triforceofgods Visual novels aren't an exception! You gotta make dialogue choices in them. How are you going to speak on the narrative if you aren't making the decisions and dealing with the consequences??
@aemaliia Why were you playing on hard? In that day and age it just meant enemies have more health and do more damage. IE it just throws off the devs intended balance
@butterbeanjm@naranciagaming No way. There's feeling associated with gameplay and its feedback. Learning to play a game and getting good at it with the character doesn't cross over to watching
@daft_scum@naranciagaming That's not larp, you've played the og trilogy. More than most "fans" today. The thing people are complaining about is people watching these games online and "playing dolls" with the characters. I've seen it so much with resident evil gimmick accounts
@cosmonautscarf@elijah_odorizzi@leficentOMO@GoNintendoTweet Agreed. Also I wasn't blown away by the combat system. Seemed like there was way too much "commanding" of your allies for it not to just be turn based. Seems like final fantasy has been struggling with the switch to real time action for way too long.
@elijah_odorizzi@leficentOMO@GoNintendoTweet I think being "too long" means that you stopped having fun near the end because you were tired of playing a game for 100+ hrs. I'm not saying the game wasn't fun up to a point, I just think that there are very few games that are fun for that long. I was enjoying but got burnt out
