Beyond gentrification and Black athletes' impact on Nike, this dives into overlooked tech history. Many innovations credited elsewhere actually came from Black inventors. #Inventions#BlackHistory#TechFacts
๐จ Adoptive mother and teacher charged with incest after R*PING her two adopted teenage sons.
Amber Swain a teacher and director at Pend Oreille River School in Newport, Washington, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree incest.
She is accused of having sexual contact with both of her adopted teenage boys.
One of the boys told investigators the sexual relationship happened โplenty of times,โ including as recently as two days before his forensic interview. The other reported being touched by Swain in bed in May. Swain initially denied the allegations before later admitting to having r*ping one of the boys.
Swain was a public advocate for foster children and adoptive families. She now stands accused of r*ping the very children she took in and was supposed to protect.
How does someone go from advocating for vulnerable kids to preying on the ones living under their own roof? And what warning signs were missed by the school and child welfare system while this was happening?
What kind of sentence is appropriate when an adoptive mother and teacher is accused of incest with her own children?
A Colorado court reversed homicide convictions against two paramedics on Thursday in the 2019 death of Elijah McClain, a Black man who was pinned down by police and injected with a fatal dose of ketamine. McClain's final words โ "I can't breathe" โ foreshadowed those of George Floyd a year later in Minneapolis, and the Colorado man's name became part of the rallying cries for social justice that swept the U.S. in 2020. The appeals court ordered new trials for Aurora Fire Rescue paramedics Jeremy Cooper and Peter Cichuniec.

I remember uncovering this information during my research years ago and bringing it into the public consciousness through the award-winning documentary, โElementary Genocide.โ
At the time, many dismissed it as speculation, conspiracy, or hearsay. The evidence was ignored. The warnings were ridiculed. Yet as more research emerged, the reality became impossible to deny.
Today, what was once pushed to the margins has become a national conversation, and one that is long overdue.
If you want to understand how these issues developed and why they continue to impact our communities, watch the complete trilogy:
โข Elementary Genocide: The School Prison Pipelineโจโข Elementary Genocide 2: The Board of Education vs. The Board of Incarcerationโจโข Elementary Genocide 3: Academic Holocaust
The conversation is finally happening. The question is whether we are prepared to confront what the research has revealed.
